Greater Seattle Street Map Book
Published in Map by GM Johnson and Associates, Ltd. (01 October, 2002)
Author: GM Johnson & Associates Ltd
Average review score:

4th Edition
The best set of 8.5x11" maps I've found for the Seattle area.
The 42 maps are clear and easy to read. They cover from
Lynnwood to Kent, and West Point to Sammish/Issaquah. I've
been using a five year old version and really wanted an
updated version.

It doesn't cover anything on the otherside of ferries. It
would be better if it also went upto Everett.

Imaginary Crimes
Published in Hardcover by Viking Press (January, 1982)
Author: Sheila Ballantyne
Average review score:

"no more suffering for imaginary crimes"
This novel, which differs IMMENSELY from the 1994 film of the same name, is one of empathy, compassion, and of growing up uncertain. It basically says that whatever someone's view of the past, no one is to blame. It's told from the view of Sonya Weiler, starting in the late 1940's and ending in the early 70's. Sonya's relationships with everyone around her are shown with an unjudgemental eye and a listening ear.

Great Insight
This guide provides the most insight into this misunderstood city. The 306 pages have just as many pictures as pages letting you picture what you want to see before ending up in a bad part of town.

Great
I consider this book to be the bible of the work of Jacob Lawrenece. As a collector of Lawrence's work, I must say this book was the first step. I truly believe that this is the one book that captures Jacob Lawrence.

The Lobster Kids' Guide to Exploring Seattle
Published in Paperback by Lobster Press (June, 2003)
Authors: Shelley Arenas and Cheryl Murfin Bond
Average review score:

Everything you need to know
This is the book I was looking for. Knowing Seattle like the back of my hand I still needed inspiration for playing tourist with my kids in Seattle. And who better to write a guide to Seattle with children than two women who wrote for the top Seattle family magazines. This book will not only give you ideas on what to do, it will tell you what to expect to spend, how long you should plan to be there, what else is in the neighborhood, helpful hints to make the outing more enjoyable, and just about anything else you'd need to know about doing it. I now not only have a full week of adventures planned for this summer but ideas of other things to do for a long time to come. Yeah!

A Magic Season: The Book on the 1995 Seattle Mariners
Published in Paperback by Sasquatch Books (December, 1995)
Authors: Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Laura Vecsey, Joel Connelly, and Art Thiel
Average review score:

"This is simply...indescribable!"
For many of us long suffering Seattle baseball fans who remember the days when you could walk up the Kingdome box office, get a ticket with ease and sit in an entire section by your lonesome, the 1995 baseball season remains a truly special.

A Magic Season: The Book of the 1995 Seattle Mariners is not heavy reading but more of a jog through memory lane. From the opening pages that remind us of the bitterness of the 1994 strike, to the playoff frenzy (and I mean FRENZY!) that ultimately ended with the playoff series loss to the Cleveland Indians in the American League Championship Series.

The wonderfully edited book follows the Mariners in chronological order through the 1995 season. For me, the memories intensify as you relive the incredible momentum of the last few weeks of the regular season. There is greater detail on key games during the stretch run such as the one game elimination face-off with the then "California" Angels for the division title. For fans, it harkens memories of Randy Johnson's dominating perfomance highlighted by Dave Niehaus' unforgettable radio call of "...this is simple...indescribible"!

Through the amazing series with the New York Yakees in the American League Divisional Series, each of the nail-biting games are reviewed with great pictures, box scores, and stats. All of the five games of this classic series are covered in this great section.

In addition to all of the post-season action, the editors offer a section of detailed player profiles. There are Mariners present and past who contributed to this amazing accomplishment of this team are highlighted.

Mariners fans everywhere will enjoy reliving the season that put the Mariners on the baseball "map". If you're a fan of the Mariners, this book is fun and a must.
